Field Station Open Days |

Although the Clifton Farm Field Station is not open to public access, because it is a research station on private property, not a public recreational area, ESA does periodically schedule "field station open days." This gives residents from the local region the chance to experience seasonal plants and wildlife of interest. For a schedule of "open days," see our Calendar at a Glance link. On a "field station open day," trails through specific habitat areas of the field station are opened for you to explore, discover and photograph at your own pace. The hours that the station will be open are posted on the Calendar at a Glance. An interpreter is on duty on "open days" to offer assistance to get you started on your explorations. All visitors must sign in and out with the interpreter, who is stationed at the visitor parking area. A $5.00 per vehicle fee is charged that helps fund field station maintenance costs. The residence on the field station is private and visitors are reminded not to trespass at residence and the adjoining yards.
